Erik ReeL Showing at Butler Institute of American Art

4 June 2018-- Society805.com's own Art and Cultural contributing editor, Erik ReeL, has been selected to exhibit in the Butler Institute of American Art's 2018 midyear show. The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio, was the first museum in the world dedicated solely to American Art and has a long and venerable history of showing the best in American Art since 1919. The exhibition will run from 1 July to 26 August 2018. ReeL also exhibited just last year in an international group exhibition at the CICA Museum in Seoul, South Korea.

For those who wish to see ReeL's work locally, he will be featured in a solo exhibition at the GraySpace gallery located on Gray Avenue in Santa Barbara's notorious Funk Zone. The show opens on 21 September from 5 to 8 pm, and runs through 11 November 2018. Concurrent with his solo show in the main gallery, ReeL's wife, Rhonda P. Hill, will curate an exhibition of fashion as art in the GraySpace Annex. Both shows will open the same night. The show is open to the public with regular hours Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 1-6 pm and by appointment, 805.866.0552. Website at grayspace.gallery.

Admission to all venues is free the public.
